Is that Frost Green Randy...?
Ok but I have to ask....
And I don't mean anything by it, I just don't understand it. So you want the grand kids to ride in a classic car that you have, just not this one... but you do want them to ride in a huge butt boat classic?
Not sure I get it. I must be missing something. You have a classic that is already done, but you are selling it to get another classic roller even that you would need to work on... How old are the grandkids? they helping you or is it the old man needs a big boat classic car thing?
Not knocking ya that's what happened to my friends dad. He had a mint no lie 50k original mile 79TA he bought brand new from pontiac. Sold it to get a big 'ol pimp daddy 66 vert caddy. His son was so pissed off at him, he asked why? he said so I can take the grandkids around in it. He replied, "Dad you had the perfect car for that, low miles, you knew what ya got, why this??" Dad said, "because i'm older now.. "
I still don't get it.
damn dude what the !@#$ what I do is my business if I want a big butt car ill get one, live on a gravel road, dust and chips ,did not really want to ruin the car ,and my butt is bigger so I got a big butt car,
Come on that was a legitimate question, and I thought he worded it OK. I kind of get where you're coming from, the 66 will be nice with all that room for the kids. Heck that might be me someday (minus the big butt part), I've only owned mine for 4 years now and just started to get to enjoy driving it. If I came across a nice 70's cuda and could swing it, I'd sell the Z.
Sorry you felt that I insulted you, I wasn't aiming too. By all means you do as you wish, still doesn't make sense to me but I'm not you and it doesn't have to make sense to me. Good luck with your future endevor.
Man, we feel yor pain.
There are a few cars that I owned, and still miss.
Screw him, he has an Impala now and the world looks different!
[ I owned a 65 SS Impala with a vinyl top when I was but a child. ]
[ I'd take a 65 SS Impala Convertible in a heartbeat! ]
Mine was this color ( I think, seemed darker ) with a black vinyl top.
Maybe it was "Evening Orchid."
Great color! I do a lot of car shows with a friend that has a 65 GTO convertible in Iris Mist, same color as the Impala. I sure would love to find a 65 Chevelle Malibu SS with a L79 and four speed in Evening Orchid.
