Saw some really nice turbo cars recently...T/A w/Grand National aluminum block motor, ball bearing turbo, intercooler, methanol injection, etc ... he figured 550 - 650 hp.[IMG] [IMG] Camaro with tuned port small block, twin turbo's, intercooler [IMG] [IMG]

That TA with the GN driveline must have really stepped it up in the last couple of years, I watched him dyno 275hp at the rear wheels 3 years ago
& that was on a Dynojet.

Yup, it goes pretty good, LOL.
Going to have a second car out there in 3-4 weeks, I'll be driving it at first & then the GF will take over as soon as I'm sure it'll track straight & clean.

The Buick Grand National and Turbo T were the badest turbo car's from any usa company ever. The turbo's have been getting alot of talk in the last 5 years or so but the Buicks were kicking ass in the 80's. Here is a short movie of my car when it still had a v6 in it

Here are some pics of it now with a V8

my old V6 was 274 cubes and made 1350hp with one turbo. it ran 7:70's in the 1/4 mile @ mid to high 170 mph. Now the V8 is not tuned just right (as far as car and motor working together) to put down a good time yet. So far it's made 1500hp to the tires with the v8 and I have about 6 more psi to go and 5deg's of timing. I have had engine problems 4 or 5 times now and the new combo only has like 30 1/8 mile runs on it. It's been 5.0's in the 1/8 so far but should go 4.8's-4.9's in the 150 range. 1/4 mile not sure I race all 1/8 same as the V6 it's just once or twice I will run it out the back door but have never tuned the car to run all 1/4 mile stuff. I would think the v8 shoould run in the 180's around 7.4's -.5's .
The intercooler is inside to get the weight off the nose
