Here is a picture that shows it. It looks like some sort of plate or something.
That is the early LS1 intake up to 2000, the plate is the block off for the EGR tube that was originally plumbed there. After 2001 the LS1 and LS6 is the same manifold that did not require an egr system as the engine controls and calibration got that good.
If you are using the LS1 injectors, the plugs on your truck harness that plug onto them will need to be changed. The injectors for a LS1 are different than the truck's. Simple fix is get the plug's from a junkyard and change them on your harness.
Thanks, that is what I kind of *assumed*, but wasn't sure. The pic is one I found on the Internet, not mine, so I just need to get a block off plate then?
Thanks. I ran into that issue a while ago, and have already got the wire harness switched around. It would have been good to know that before though!
Search google for EGR delete and there are many different ones out there. There are some cool ones on ebay that have different engravings on them. I need to get one of those eventually.
