what should I do for this sensor? I'm just using silicone couplers and some stainless tubing for my intake setup, so I'm not sure how to add this.

The ECU absolutely needs it, so either make a spot in the intake tube for it or find some other way to get it into the intake path

I'm using a truck MAF with the IAT built in, but you can just mount the IAT in the tube with a gromet. I would add it in front of the MAF in case there is a leak past the gromet you don't have any un-metered air entering the engine

I got tired of heat soak and ended up mounting it just behind the passenger side head light. Obviously the wiring to it had to be extended. In other words, my IAT is reading ambient temperature, not the actual air coming in.
I log (with HP Tuners) and fine-tune every week and found this the most reliable temperature pickup point.

In the OP's picture I looks like the IAT location is in front of the radiator, which should reduce, but not eliminate heat soak.

I am also using the truck MAF with IAT built in. It's simple, clean solution.

Integrate it with the MAF. Buy the Z06 or truck 85mm MAF and re-pin it.
