I just, last month, picked up an '11 4Runner from Repocast. I agree with the statement, "it's a tank". That and my '92 Acclaim, are my daily's. Our '05 Silverado hasn't been out for months. I got the 4Runner at a very good price where I can make some $$$ on it. Now, I'm not certain if I want to sell it. MPG shows about 16.8.

16.8MPG - That's not toooooo bad, but not great either. My Ranger was rated at 23 highway (which is most its miles), and I still get 22.5 ALL DAY LONG. I'm impressed.

My wife's Touareg got 14-15mpg and her 4-runner got about the same. It was rough. Both 4x4. My mother-in-law's '05 Grand Cherokee got 18MPG and it was a 4x4. Meanwhile, my father-in-law's HUGE Suburban get 19mpg no problem.

Most reliable was a 2001 Dodge Caravan with the Dodge 4 cylinder in it. I got 270,000 miles out of that vehicle before I had to junk it because of body rust. I sold it to a man who buys junk vehicles, he gave me $1000 cash for it. I sat for a month before he came to get it. When he got there i handed him the key and it stated right up. He said he was going to fix the body himself and use it as a parts go getter. The most unreliable vehicle I ever owned was a 2005 F-150 FX4. Engine ticking at 50,000, injectors at 65,000, transmission was going out at 120,000. Traded it on a 2012 Dodge Ram.

Worst most unreliable vehicle I have ever known to exist.... MG MIDGET (pick a year) WHEN it ran...was alot of fun....WHEN it ran! That thing could drive you to the store and die at a stop sign....or drive 3 weeks with NO ISSUES.... never really knew wtf was going to happen..

Most reliable by far: 2000 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 3.3L V6. 277,000 miles I bought brand new and still my daily driver to this day. Second most reliable was my 1991 Acura Integra. Good little car.

Worst: I love Nissans but our 2003 Nissan Altima that we purchased brand new gave us soooo many problems. Second worst was my 1984 Camaro Z28 5.0L HO. OMG, what a freaking lemon!. It was stolen in 1991 (used to insuranace money to purchase the 1991 Acura metioned above) and was never found.

Most Reliable: 2009 Honda CR-V EX. This is our daily driver we bought brand new and now has 232K miles and counting. Had a wheel bearing go out under warranty, but other than that, it's been great. Really happy with our choice.

Most Unreliable: 2000 Chevy Blazer LS. My first brand new vehicle. Beautiful blue metallic paint 2-Door with a 4.3L V6. Loaded except for leather and heated seats. 100K miles rolled around and it was like someone flipped a switch. Turned into a big POS. EBCM was one of the parts that went out but before it did, it caused my RH front caliper to grab when I was doing 65 MPH. Completely unexpected and scared the hell out of me. It got crushed during the Cash for Clunkers Program in 2009. Got $4500 for it and it was worth maybe $1500. Used that money for the CR-V down payment.

Definitely makes sense to me. Those late 80's early 90's rangers were crap

Reliable: 1968 Impala Convertible, 327, Powerglide. 353,000+ miles. That car took me home from the hospital when I was born in 1969. We sold it to my uncle in 1974 and he used it in his high school auto shop. Motor was re-ringed and the trans was rebuilt. I bought it back for $500 in 1986. Aside from maintenance, she was a runner up until I sold her. From 30 MPH up, it was faster than a brand new '87 IROC. Pissed off many a rich kid in that car!

Least Reliable: 1987 GTA Trans Am. Soooo many electrical problems. Replaced so many parts. Never ran right for long. When it did, it was the best driving car and best sounding stereo I ever owned. Too bad it left me stranded so many times and cost me so much money. Bought with 24,000 miles and sold with about 34,000.

IF I had to choose one reliable car I've owned, I'd have to say the 79 Olds Visa Cruiser with a 350 SBC I put in it. We put 86,000 miles on it before the New Yuck salt ate the body up. A close second would be my 2000 Chevy Tahoe with 180,000 miles on it. Weakest link in the Tahoe is the 4L60E trans which went at 150K miles.

Car I hated from the moment I got it: 68 Camaro that I put a 327 SBC in. Terrible handling car. Horrible brakes. Electrical system was a nightmare in it as it's had been butchered up. When I stripped the paint off, it had seven paint jobs on it that and eleven different colors under the cop eye catcher red of the last paint job. It would go like hell (2.65 rear gears) but the brakes were useless above 100 mph!
