Looking to possibly put 15 x 10s on the rear and 15 x 7s on the front on my 81 Z28. My question is what is the best possible backspace to use for both of these and what tire sizes would work best for me where I wouldn't get any rubbing etc. Thanks in advance.

Your factory 15x7 wheels are the best offset for the front. Measure them and stay with something with the same offset.
For the rear, you need to get under the car with a tape measure and do a bit of measuring there too.

Most of the factory GM wheels for that era rwd vehicles had 4.25" bs. I've measured N90's, turbine style and Corvette Rallies
