I am looking for gauges for my lq9 swap. I want to know what anybody else is using. I have looked at autometer, Stewart Warner, and glow shift. They are all about the same price, but i'm not sure of the quality.

Answer= What you can afford. Because it can get expensive $$$

NOTHING beats the LED "Through the gauge" new gauges. Period.
Glow Shift's the cheap alternative to Autometer.

I have 2 of their gauges in my 442.
I personally think they're nice, but their sending units are subpar IMO.
I'd use Autometer's brass sending units instead if you get them.

I've used Autometer Cobalts in my 78 Camaro with my 1st LSX swap. (totally badass)
I'm buying Autometer Ultra Lite II's in my 70 442 clone when I finish this 2nd LSX swap.

After I did some more research I am leaning toward the autometers. Thanks for your help.

I like the clean look of stock guages, I upgrade my stock idiot cluster to u14 and had 77rs refurbish a tach and I added his a oil pressure gauge to the mix too.

Also Added the resistor inline to the tach signal and got one of these cable x boxes for the speedo signal...haven't tried it yet so i'm not sure how good it will work.

I have the Autometer Pro Comp Ultralite. Easy to read and look good.

Just remember that you most likely will want the Electronic speedometer, not the mechanical one.
