Wondering if anyone has installed headers on a 1971 with the 350 engine, power steering, a/c.
and what will fit; doesn't look like much space to me for headers...

Use the search function, there are quite a few post on the subject. I have Headman headers on mine that fit well but I don’t have A/C. Hope this helps.

I've been researching for a new set of headers to replace my old rusted out blackjack headers. The Hedman 65104 / 66104(coated version) seems to keep coming up at top of the reviews.

Too bad your old Blackjack headers are rusted. I had Blackjack headers on my Camaro for years. When I pulled them off to upgrade to Alumicoats, I put the Blackjacks on my Son's El Camino. They fit just as perfectly on the El Camino as they fit on the Camaro.

The cheapo ones fit fine and the Hooker Super comps also fit well for me, but the tubes are larger than most headers. You can find the the cheapo ones at swap meets for $25, that's what I paid for mine.

I had a set of headers on a 502 big block in my 77 with AC. It didn't look like they would fit either, but slid in and bolted up. One side had to go from the bottom, I think it was the passenger side.

In general there are lots of headers that fit this chassis.
Are you running an Automatic or Manual Transmission? It matters for Z-Bar Clearance
Do you want a shorty or full-length style header?
Is the engine otherwise stock? Do you have specific power goals in the future (determining primary size)?

TH350 auto trams. not sure which style header yet, my down pipe all the way back are all new stainless; so I want to keep modifications to a minimum; my goal is to keep the 350 mostly stock would just like a little more power.
