    What's the latest on this fan link? I'd like to see this and the above link doesn't work for me either.

    I just purchased a 4th gen dual fan setup and at the top left corner and the bottom right corner are rubber flaps covering holes that are approx. 2" x 6". All the pics on here have the flaps removed. Is that because the fans you guys bought were missing them, or are they really not necessary? Seems the theory behind them is as you are going down the road they allow air to flow throught the radiator, and as you stop they close back up.

    Should I remove them or leave them?

    wow you just resurrected a 5 year old thread :crazy:
    I don't recall there being any flaps on my fans when I got them (used).
    Each LS1 fan has its own small circular shroud around it. That's been enough to suck air efficiently through the radiator to keep things cool. I never had a problem overheating in 5 years.

    I am going to resurrect this thread too, mainly to see what other ideas there are, not that there's anything wrong with Steve's install.

    Thanks for the detailed write up and pics, I will save this thread for future use.
