OK, I attached pics of my twin sons behind the the steering wheels of 'kind of twin' 1973 Camaros, the blue RS is mine, as mentioned in previous post the green car belongs to a friend who kindly lent it to us during those graduation weeks!
Congratulations LADDTWZ to your sons and yourself from a fellow twin dad! My own twin sons graduated from college in 2016, they don't actually have their own Camaros (at least not yet), but they got to use my -73 RS and a friend kindly lent the other son his -73 since he said our cars are also...
New exhaust installed!
I failed to mention that I got a new exhaust installed prior to the lifter
ordeal, I have installed a Pypes Exhaust Cross Flow system (SGF70) with
downpipes since I won't use headers, the system hade a better than average
fit, (just some trimming of the x-pipe...
Sorry for the crappy photos but I only had my mobile phone at the time.
Changing lifters only is a hazardous game, at least it seems that way when browsing various threads, I am happy to report that I have succeded in replacing all lifters in my engine without replacing the cam shaft, I never...
Are the pictures missing? Let me know, It seems that the ISP may have removed the pictures from my allocated web space. I will try to replace the images by reuploading them somewhere else as soon as I have the time. Until then I'll post a photo from the last few days of summer in 2009. This...
It's been more like being in a pile of snow actually, "worst" winter ever since the the measurements started in this region of scandinavia, but now it's finally getting warmer, I actually got to take the Camaro for a ride this evening. :D
I can't wait to start the season with a...
Semi OT but kind of related (sorry if a repost):
Another way to start your V8 could to be loose on a pallet in the back corner of your garage.
It is a 14 litre Scania Truck Engine that had been sitting for about 10 years according to what
is said in...
A friend and I installed an upgrade the past week, it's a mystery engine that turned up to have world s/r torquer heads, a reed cam and edelbrock performer carb and intake, one cylinder was shot and had to be lined. Otherwise just new gaskets and rings. I store the original engine...
I think should replace my clutch pack
based on how new ones looked in those pictures
Thank you very much for your help,
now I'll have to locate some more parts
before putting it all back together. :)
A bit further down the line
Things don't always move fast here but I am now about to rebuild the axle, it is cleaned and painted and a master kit has been purchased, however I'm not 100% sure whether to replace the clutch pack or not, I haven't seen a new pack in real life so it's kind of hard...
I just spent the better part of the day cleaning
up a 2nd gen axle I intend to use on my '73 since
it currently has an open rear, the axle has 42/13 teeth
on the crown wheel / Pinion and that would make the ratio
3:23, it's also a posi, traction lock.
Does anyone know where this axle might...
Good Evening (or morning depending on where you are, it's morning here anyway)
Time for a cup of coffee, I'm just walking around with a happy face since I
found a rust free trunk lid yesterday, it is to be combined with a one-piece spoiler.
Life... Those small things that makes you happy...
Mine is a 1973 RS, the wheels at the moment are Vintage Wheelworks V45:s
with 245-45/17 tires, suspension and shocks is updated and uses red konis
and 1979 Z-28 spec parts. I'd like to do more but might get another Camaro
in worse shape and modify it instead since this is actually rather...
