    another big thing dont mismatch pulleys, some will argue that it doesn't matter but they are matched. I got a milk crate of sbc pullys...

    Looking at the first picture. It looks like there is a slight alignment issue as the alt appears to be farther forward than the WP pulley.

    Thanks guys. While changing to a Dayco top cog belt I noticed the WP pulley has little wobble in it. Hopefully thats the culprit.

    Sometimes you can scuff up the belt a bit and help this a lot. Idling just hold a wire brush against the belt sides, light pressure....

    you could try belt dressing, but I'd scuff the pulleys with scotcbrite. looks like your running an old pump pulley and a new alt....

    You didn't happen to paint in the groove of any of the pulleys, did you? I did and ruined brand new belts. Squealed like crazy.
