    Adjustable Guide Plates

Thanks guys we'll try for a happy medium with the Z plates. The exhaust rocker on #4 is about 1/3 of the roller width off center, so hopefully they will both be good enough splitting the difference ?

    Adjustable Guide Plates

Studs are all laser straight with each other and at same height. It is what it is so adjusting it to reduce valve guide wear and noise would be best.

    Adjustable Guide Plates

Rocker studs are all new ARP 134-7104 no issues straight, rockers are all new Pro Magnum no issues. Machine shop used is highly respected no issues with machine work. When I say it doesn't align up I mean it's on the valve stem but canted to the left (outward) not centered on valve stem. Strange...

    Adjustable Guide Plates

Thats what are on there but one exhaust rocker doesn't align up while its partner intake does ? Seems maybe one lifter bore is off or it's the old GM head that has something off for that one valve? Been looking at the Jomar JOM1501 three piece and Isky 200AGPs two piece. Both are supposedly GTG...

    Adjustable Guide Plates

Hey everyone, I am helping a friend with an early corvette setup his rocker arm geometry on his freshly redone heads. We have the correct length push rods in now. The machine shop used the factory GM guide plates and they all aligned up nicely except on #4 the exhaust rocker is canted and the...

    750 Carb Selection

Yes, I see the AED has the IFRs up top. I just started getting everything together, 6-32 taps, #37 drill bit and 6-32 brass set screws 1/8 & 3/16 length along with numbered drill bits to make some IFR jets. I may just try and tame the idle and transition circuit on the carb I have now before...

    750 Carb Selection

One more question does the AED have the IFRs in the lower position ? and are they 6-32 set screw style ?

    750 Carb Selection

72Zed Thanks, yes I do have the room with my cowl hood, does the ST4150-4AL have a good advantage over an open spacer on the top end of power curve as well.

    750 Carb Selection

Muscl I have one of those in a Wilson box, are you running that on top of the RPM A/G ? If so did it dyno better than a 1" open hole spacer ?

    750 Carb Selection

Biker I like that SS series but it's not available without the choke in 750 ? 72Zed Thanks I was leaning that way. I always go through new carbs completely, have found lots of things that weren't the way they were suppose to be. LOL I remember the Demons full of machining shavings and other...

    750 Carb Selection

WOW That's a nice carb, like the annular boosters. I forgot to mention I'm pretty good with basic carb work and adjustments. The carb I've got now has worked great and jetting is spot on. The power band hits like a nitrous switch at 3K. BUT the idle circuit is too rich and I've gotten fed up...

    750 Carb Selection

I'm trying to decided between the three of the following carbs. The engine is an 11:2:1 355 with AFR195s, RPM A/G and [email protected] duration 525 lift, 2117 hookers, 4:11 rear M-22 trans, power band is 3-6500 shifted between 6.5-7. I am now curious about the two Holleys. They are all 750 cfm. Anyone...

Valve train noise after it's warmed up completely--SBC

Are you using a 5-30W engine oil ? Could be a light weight engine oil getting thin with temp ? A re-lash after the brake in wouldn't hurt with EOIC method either.

Head Bolt & Stud Thread Sealant

I'm about to finally install my AFR 1034s and I'm wondering what everyone uses now for head bolt thread sealant and why ? Thanks
