Does the powerless wire have a plastic sheath about 1/2 an inch long near the battery? There is a built in non-replaceable fuse. If you are not getting power probe the wire on both sides of that plastic sheath. If you have power on one side but not the other you will have to cut it out and put in a fuse holder.
