Post up your "big wheeled" cars...AKA...17's or larger AND ADD YOUR BACKSPACING INFO!!!!!

Thanks. It's an 81 Berlinetta V6 that I bought from the original owner 10 years ago. I swapped in a 5.3 and a 4l60 and it's been on the road about 5 years. I just swapped in a t56 and it's like a whole different car. Still need to finish the interior.

    Great PPG shop

I've known the owner Matt and most of the guys who work there for years. The shop I work at buys paint from them. Great people to work with.

    Rattling noise - trunk lid?

I had a similar noise that sounded like it was coming from the back of the car and was driving me crazy. Turns out it was the parking brake cable rubbing on the exhaust. Maybe try opening the decklid with the car running and see if the noise changes or goes away.

    No body bushings problems.

I read on one of the Trans Am forums a while back that Herb Adams didn't use bushings in his first Fire Am prototype. In fact he welded the subframe to the floor.

    interior interchange

Everything except the rear sail panels will interchange. Door trim panels are different too, but they can probably be made to work.

5.3 Swap in my 77 Z28 Tach Question

I hooked the tach output signal wire from the ecm to my factory tach wire. The tach worked but the reading was off so my tuner adjusted it when he tuned the car.
