Testing a near new a/c compressor.

120lbs, blew thru low side and got oil and air out high side. It now seems clear and I am able to blow air into both sides. The compressor is still mounted with the hoses disconnected, so I briefly started motor and there is a lot of suction and pressure from compressor. I guess I will...

Testing a near new a/c compressor.

I have disconnected the inlet side of the evaporator and removed the expansion valve. Then removed the exit line from the POA . Tried to blow air through the inlet (high side) and no air comes out the large low side exit. Do I have a stopped up evaporator?

Testing a near new a/c compressor.

it is charged, but if the compressor is not compressing the pressures on low and high will naturalize and show the same. I am showing 100 on both. The problem is when the compressor engages the high should go up and the low should go down, but it is not. They are staying the same. The clutch is...

Testing a near new a/c compressor.

The high and low were both equal at about 100. The clutch is working and the center part is turning. No expert, but compressor should start and low should go back to around 30 and high should increase.

    Posi-track swap

The axles are now out. I had to move the s clips slightly out and then the axles pushed in to expose the c clips. Thanks for replys, Dave.

    Posi-track swap

I have the center pin out and I can see the C clips, but the axles will not push in far enough to get the C clips free. With a large c clamp I pushed the axle as far as it would go and it pushes the C clip against the S slip. I see no other way to remove the C clips than to remove the S clips.

    Posi-track swap

I need help. No where can I find instruction on how to remove the axles when there is the s spring. Chevelle forum said not to remove the s clip, that there is no c clips and to remove the brake backing plates and pull the axle out with a pressed on bearing on the end. Any help will be greatly...

    Posi-track swap

Picked up the diff yesterday. It is an 8.5 10 bolt posi that looks to be a 4.10 but it decodes to be an open 3.08. GX. I may try and find a 3.08 and woundered if any one has run a 3.08 behind a Muncie 4 speed? This is not a race car and would rather have lower rpm at 70 than a burnout. Or what...

    Battery drain

Thanks for your help. With black wire disconnected there is no draw at neg cable and no power anywhere inside car. I am going to start at the fuse block removing fuses on hot side and work my way thru all the circuits.
