Hello all!
Time to start a new project.... :D
My current car is a 1973 Camaro Z28 RS LT with a SBC 350 pushing 310 HP and about 320 lbs/ft paired with a M21 Close ratio muncie. The project would be a restomod. Its going to have a LS3 with about 8.0-8.5 CR and twin turbos pushing around 8psi...
:) That mechanic who did an overhaul on the transmission did it wrong and when I took the transmission apart the reverse, 2nd and 4th gears are all destroyed chipped and metal shards everywhere. Time to get a T56…
The current goal is to make it a pro street car which I can take to the strip on weekends. I want the engine to be an easy 650-700hp with a supercharger so say around 450-500hp naturally aspirated. Going to turn my 350 into a 383 stroker with new heads (still did not decide on which head to choose)
Parts kit (Crankshaft, crankshaft bearings and caps, complete pistons) Basically an entire kit that I just need to bore the engine from 4.00 to 4.03 and it would fit right in. Thanks in advance
Thanks, the shop who rebuilt the transmission has no idea about manual transmissions (facepalm). He should've said it in the first place that he doesn't know a thing about manual transmissions.
Here we go again,
Background Info:-
After years of the transmission working, it decided to get stuck in gear about a month ago. The car is stuck in 4th but the gear shifter seems to be in neutral but cant wiggle it, it can be put into reverse but only the gear shifter not the actual gears...
It’ll just be make do to make the car drive able in this good weather. Going to do a full on restoration by swapping out the engine for a 427 or a 454. Meanwhile I will try to get the whole power steering stuff fixed since it shrieks like a banshee (Good Oil Level and the belt is not slipping).
Hello,
Anyone got some pictures that I can use for reference of a 1973 Camaro V8 SBC 350. I need a undercarriage pic. I am getting some problems with my power steering since it was mishmashed with other GM parts for the power steering.
