1973 Camaro Z-28 RS with Console delete.

I worked at a Chevrolet dealer in '71-'75 and bought a four spd (no console) Z28 in '73. There was a strike or something in Norwood and F body's were late in getting to us (I ordered in Feb and it showed up in July) I tell you that because an RS Z28 came in before mine with an Column Auto & I...

Another key to prevent sprag damage is not to let the tire hook before getting out of the throttle.

    Unsteady Speedometer

Hi guys, I have a speedometer that has a jumpy needle from 0-40 then gets smooth and steady after that. Do you think it's the speedo or a cable problem? Thanks Dicky

    Paint Stripes on Driveshaft

Well folks, I have some additional info on the prop shaft paint and colors. It comes from a guy who has written a book about the plant "Echoes of Norwood"; something Camaro people would find very interesting. Here is my discussion about this subject with him. Phil, I've got your Norwood...

    Paint Stripes on Driveshaft

It seems that there are a few differences with these stripe colors and the transmissions in front of them. Does it have anything to do with Manufacturing location (LA or NOR)??? COPO I looked at your pix and it looks like there is not much space between the stripes. Is there anything...

    Snorkel or open air cleaner

Well Mr. Dork, I suspect your not done having 6,195 posts.... I already said that I have no proof per say, but you do not want to let it go.... The reason my post count is low is that I'm DONE (read: don't give a poop) with your banter. I did not see the requirement of having to own a Camaro...

    Snorkel or open air cleaner

First off let me apologize to MR. PITA (twozs) for "name calling". I have no proof as you say other than I do not ever recall seeing a '73 Z come in to our dealership w/AC that was not an M40 equipped car. Now that may be to a couple of reasons. 1) we were in a northern most state bordering...

    Snorkel or open air cleaner

I think the OP is referring to 1973 Z28's Which is what my reply is addressing..... Twozs- only autos had AC in '73

    Snorkel or open air cleaner

Just to throw my 2 cents in on this topic. (for OP Question) First off I worked at a Chevrolet dealership during the time frame of 69-75, it was the largest volume dealership in the state of any Brand, we sold and serviced a lot of Camaros... of which I owned several. There was never a 1973...
