Cost of shipping non running car/truck across country

Shipping cars is a strange world! I think most Google searches bring you to brokers. When I tried to go direct to a name brand carrier almost all of them said no to shipping to Denver in October. They were worried about snow and “no one wanting to go that far north out of their way”. I ended up...

    Colorado Forum

We had about 3” of wet heavy snow at our place on the east side of Denver. Took down quite a few tree limbs around the neighborhood. On the positive the garage is warm and the Camaro is closer yet to being on the road this summer.

    1979 Camaro base model

Thank you BillyDean! I ended up getting the trin from NPD. Camaro Central wanted $80 for shipping as much as the trim cost.

    1979 Camaro base model

Hello all I’m looking at the rocker panel and see small holes, circled in green, then length of the door. Are these drain holes or should there be a trim piece there? Thanks as always!

Hi, I believe the canister is part of the emissions system and captures fumes from the fuel tank.

1979 Camaro Base model 305 with AC

I’m sure this has been discussed 100 times over already but will post again 😕 I already replaced the front springs and they were supposedly correct given the specs in the subject line. I was sure they were going to have the front too high but pressed on hoping that once all of the front was on...

    Nice FedEx

I had Amazon ship me an empty envelope a couple of weeks ago but seemed to get it resolved easily. Still it was baffling LOL

    Using a table router

Be careful with the direction of your pass or you will get a serious kickback. If possible have a feather board to keep the stock tight to the fence and defiantly have a push stick. Routers are one of my favorite woodworking tools so much you can do with them.

Hagerty insurance just told me my car is worth $60K

Exactly my take on why I am willing to pay the premium for the highest value I can insure it for currently. Honestly the cost to insure classic cars is exceptionally cheap compared to a daily driver. But to each their own do what makes sense to you 😬

Hagerty insurance just told me my car is worth $60K

My father had a 1941 Cadillac 62 series he had beautifully restored and did like Gary and insured it for a rather low value maybe $25k. He gave it to me, I’m sure as a thank you for being his gofer, and I did some valuation tools to see what I should insure it for. I settled on $75k. He said...

    1979 305 2bbl questions

Jeremy M I’ve been following this thread because I have 1979 305 2bb as well. I live in Denver and will have to have all of the emissions set up to get tagged. Could you maybe post pics showing how your vacuum lines are run? I’ve used every resource I can to get mine set properly but it would be...

1979 Camaro Base Model 305 with TH 350 and California Emissions

Hello snowman59 thank you for chiming in on this! My friend said we will address this issue once I can drive it for more extended periods of time. Factory specs are based on sea level and we’re well above that so I will have to compensate 😂 Thank you all and please keep any thoughts coming I...

    Prices are Going Up!

I’m so glad I started my project about 18 months ago. I’ve kept track of every dollar spent, and it can be sobering to look at, but the wife encouraged me to just buy it now. She trusted that I was buying what is needed to do it right and not as a “anything goes” spending spree. There is no...
