74/75 IROC Camaros - Type of Cage & Source

Great points. This is a measure twice, cut once scenario for sure. I'm in the process of gathering expertise, not just thoughts, to ensure that I do not plan poorly and have to spend money/time again. I will check out Rhodes for sure. Appreciate the reply.

Awesome. Thanks for that post. I will check him out for sure. I owe Joey Gray a trip, who's shop is outside of Winston-Salem. Appreciate the heads-up!

74/75 IROC Camaros - Type of Cage & Source

Thanks for the post. I have a shop that the car is at currently and they have experience with cages. I was contemplating doing it at home. I'm OK at my welding. I wasn't sure if there was a setup for 2nd generation Camaros that I can assemble and weld at home. Flares, yes, for sure...

74/75 IROC Camaros - Type of Cage & Source

Hi, For one of my 74 Z28s I'm attempting to recreate a 74/75 IROC Camaro for some vintage racing. What type of cage are these two cars using? What would be more correct/appropriate for a recreation? Also, what are some sources for cages? The pictures in B&W are of a 74 and the color ones...

    Titan 4-post lift

For my second lift, not yet installed, here's those parts. Probably going to swap out those fittings with these and get a replacement for the two parts.

    Titan 4-post lift

I just looked at one of my pictures and it looks like I smashed one of the o-rings, at least. Man.

    Titan 4-post lift

Hi, I got everything levelled and it is still not lowering normally. I'm putting on a car tomorrow to test it out with some weight to it. Not sure why although I remember when I put on the fittings to the pump, one of the rings with "maybe" on o-ring fell out. Also, I might have overtighted...

    Titan 4-post lift

Good thought. I released the line closest to the pump and it’s now lowering. Once lowered, I will fill it up again and triple-check my leveling/tensioning. Thanks.

    Titan 4-post lift

Not below 40, I believe, in my garage. I have my thermostat around 50-ish.

    Titan 4-post lift

Moron follow-up when you say level them. Do I actually put a level on the nearest section of the ramp while I'm adjusting the top nut?

    Titan 4-post lift

Thanks for the replies gents. I'm not sure what a safety release is. I have the arm that connects to the front and back to ensure that the locks are not engaged. I also need to check the alignment on the cables for sure...

    Titan 4-post lift

Hi, I put together a Titan 4-post lift. I put in too little ATF and I'm not sure if I messed something up. It has the appropriate amount of ATF in it now. The lift works fine going up. "After" I tried to use release arm to drop it down I realized I forgot to put enough ATF in. It is not...

    Building 74 IROC Car

Saw the #1 car online. The #2 was wrecked. Maybe I will tribute that car. Cool stuff for sure.

    Building 74 IROC Car

Thanks for the reply and that's awesome that you witnessed history. I was watching old footage of the Porsche 911s and they basically said it was too costly. For one of my 74s it will be a cool journey for the car. I'm not looking to compete in absolute any way. Just a cool vintage car racer...

1975 IROC Cars - Roll Cage Design

Hi, For the 1975 IROC Camaros, was the roll cage based on a specific frame type/design and customized from a base design or completely custom? One of my 74 Z28s is going this way. Thanks for any insight! https://www.legendarymotorcar.com/inventory/1975-chevrolet-camaro-iroc-race-car-838.aspx

1974 Z28, Cortez Silver, All Matching, Looking for $5.5K or OBO

I do and I'm in suburban Chicago. I just bought a fancy house with a massive garage so my neighbors can't complain. I was going to turn this car in to an AJ Foyt IROC car since I already have a 1974 Type LT Z28. That one is a project car too that's white with a factory 4-speed. The silver...
