If these are correct for your 74, they these are not the ones I was referring to as the single c-clamp design using a single bolt.
Is it possible your 1974 has the single, c-shaped clamp design on the lower end of the drop link?
The bulb and the socket rotates out from the housing and printed circuit. I think you should be able to reach it but will be tight.
