The modification is in the DSE instructions. The 70 rear seat is not the same as later years (burlap vs foam)

That’s almost like you have a 4.56 rear gear. Your top speed should like 115mph. Sounds to me you have an issue with the transmission.

Very unlikely. There is a long piece of the metal on the bottom, I don't see it being possible to flip them.
