    BurnttoastBurgos 1979 Z build post.

I've replaced quite a few with just a jack under the LCA, use the pressure of the spring to help separate the balljoints (with nut loosened but still on stud), remove spindle, then lower slower until spring pops out. However, just recently I installed stock length springs in my car and had to...

    When did this Happen….

It may be province-specific but I know in Alberta you can also pay for private diagnostic which is a nice option when needed if you can afford it. Personally, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with public health for my daughter, now 25, who has been in and out of hospitals too many times to...

Yes wanting to use the block. Not sure why really as it’s not numbers matching…just like the idea of the original 396 cid in there. Plus it’s what I bought 😉

    Purchased a 402/396 to rebuild - recommendations?

I have a 72 SS original BB car that currently has a sleepy mid-80's 350 in it. I recently purchased a period correct (ish) 396 block with the original crank, 292 heads (no valves), valve covers, rods/pistons, intake, exhaust manifolds and the correct Q-jet. It was listed for a good price (in...

I'm not trying to respond on behalf of the seller about this particular hood, but all second gen hoods 70-81 are interchangeable.

    Wheel info please

The bolt spacing on our cars is 120.65 mm so I wouldn’t try to fit on a 120 mm wheel. It may fit on but it won’t be proper. Keep them both the same. Those widths will work but you will have to be mindful of the backspace, likely 4.5 inches in the front and 5.5 inches in the back. Check out this...

The hood release on my 72 comes out below the bumper just to driver side of center.

    Wheel info please

You'll need to specify the diameter you're going for (17, 18", etc.) along with desired width (stock, wide as possible, etc.). backspacing requirements will vary front to rear if you're looking for maximum width. More info required as there are just too many variables.

    another 2pc RMS diagnostics

Wow you’re really levelling up the troubleshooting here! I was going to ask if there’s any correlation between leaks and oil pressure, but that‘s likely impossible to know unless you went back out and monitored or has someone else monitor pressure over time. Either way it’s definitely the RMS...
