Is it possible you should be using a Clevis style rod end so the master cylinder lines up directly behind pedal and not way offset like yours is?...

Which bracket are you using? I’m using the one supplied with the mcleod 143-4005

Having with the T56 I used is that there is no way to hook up the factory speedometer. You have to use some sort of conversion box.

I put a LT-1 T56 in my BB 73 which was factory auto. Straightforward swap. Everything was off the shelf. Only thing custom was driveshaft.

I put a 454 in my 73 with factory front small block springs. Dropped maybe less than an inch but in my eyes the stance is perfect now.

The 1999 T56 is an LS version has a longer input shaft than the LT1 version. You’d need an aftermarket bellhousing or an adapter plate to run it....
T56 is a fairly straightforward swap. The LT1 version bolts right up to a SBC/BBC. the only thing custom you will need is a custom length...
