    My 79 nightmare

Welcome to the club! Those quarter panels look...nasty! Will a magnet stick?

I measured right around 19" of clearance, which should be enough to get the cam out, but only if you rely on just spinning the cam to push the lifters up into the retainers. I'm paranoid, so I got 5/16" dowel - will advise when I try the dowel trick as there's some debate on whether it actually...

RIP: John Paige [1958 - 2022] aka 'Not A TA'

Very sad news. He made good products (which I got via PTFB so maybe that can continue) and offered good help on the boards. He will be missed indeed.

My AMD full quarters were excellent.

I have a spreadsheet of "everything" I've spent, meaning most everything but surely not everything. Talk about pain!

Amen! That looks a little nasty... I suspected that the repop decklid was off. Is it me or does the quarter panel bodyline there droop a little, too? Could just be optical delusion.

Hmm... How's the alignment along the back - at the filler piece?

    1970 Camaro Restofy

I scratched my tint during install. My rollers loosened so I had to take the glass back out and blue Loctite them. Window glass is a real PITA. Mine still aren't aligned perfectly but I'll live with it until I work up the nerve to dig back into it.

Smart - there's plenty of meat there. I used 5/8 for the same reason. I'm confident it won't leak, but confidence is just that.

    Camaro RS LS1 Build Thread

The CVF accessories are built around a stock F-body water pump (with a modified pulley that I'm pretty sure means I'm hosed if it fails). I've assumed that I will need 90* fittings for the heater hoses to clear the A-arm. Of course, the stock ports are smaller than those in the Holley Mid...

    Camaro RS LS1 Build Thread

There are so many options out there for heat exchangers - not just brands, not just styles, but configurations, shapes, sizes, etc. And so many variables to consider for install. Then there's installing it. I determined pretty quickly that it had to be plate style, not tube and fin. But then...

Work was relentless last quarter of 2022. Hoping for more free time in 2023. As with all projects, you start with research. Some things I've worked piecemeal to figure out: MAP/IAT: Eforce comes with a combo MAP + IAT (TMAP) that installs inside the blower housing, rather than ahead of the...

Any year 2nd gen Firebird will do (WS6 might be different - IDK), but you also have to use 2nd gen Firebird tie rods.

    Project HairMetaLS - 81 Z28

Yes. A few have notched the crossmember, but it requires removing quite a chunk of metal. I liked the Holley Mid-Mount system I went with (though the power steering reservoir gave me fits), and in fact am selling mine soon because supercharger. I'm sure there are cheaper hacks to just get the...
