Thanks! I almost texted you to see if you were there. There sure we're a lot of people and cars! I took a bunch of pictures walking around. I left about 2:30, and it wasn't terrible, but I'm sure after 3, it would have been super crazy. I am excited, I ran into a company out of Benton Harbor...
I decided that I would get the computer mounted so when it went off to get rewired, that part would already be figured out. After a bunch of looking around (on the car, and research on here) it looked like the best option at least for me was to mount the computer on the firewall, between the...
If you can't get to another port in the head, I would install a tee on the manifold and pipe it into where your mechanical gauge is. That would be more accurate than the one that sticks in the fins.
The first one is basically how I had mine setup to begin with. It worked fine as far as I could tell. I did melt my fuse, but that might have been caused by something else. Probably the cheapest, easiest way to do it would be to use 2 of the cheap kits. One for each fan, and just have the temp...
I originally had it setup to be controlled by the PCM when it was just on/off. I think pin 42. I believe I had it set to turn on at 202* and off at 195*.
I need to do some more research to find what pin I need to wire to use to trigger the relay for the computer to automatically do the high/low...
The stuff Keith has is nice! I just purchased a Griffen radiator that is for LS swaps in 2nd gens. I got it with the inlet and outlet both on the passenger side, which let me do a cold air intake on the drivers side. But I ran the stock radiator for a few years with no issues. I am just trying...
Here is the kit I ordered. I could have made my own, but decided to take the easy way out this time!

With my stock radiator, the shroud fit perfect with some minor trimming and the stock closure panel held it in place.
I am in the process of switching everything over to clean things up, which involved a new radiator with both inlet and outlet on the passenger side, and moving the intake to...
I had my DBW box there, but I removed that, and it looks like a great spot for the computer! Now, I just need to get some ideas for making/reworking my fuse block and where to mount that to.
Where is everyone mounting their computers? I am having a hard time finding a good spot with a full interior with all the A/C and ductwork, inner fenders, etc. I want to do a clean install. The original plan was under the hood, behind the drivers headlight, but I have switched my cold air intake...
Finally back at making some progress. I got the Spectre cold air intake test fitted. I need to add all of the weatherstripping yet to seal it off from the engine bay. I also got the radiator installed, and the cooling fans/shroud installed. It was a tight fit for everything, but with some...
Ok so somehow I have never built a pinewood derby car in my life. I am helping our Cadets group at church this year, and we will be starting to build derby cars this week. The Gems (girls) will also be building cars this year. So I will be helping with all of the boys and girls. I have two girls...
Sorry, stock 2nd Gen radiator, 4th gen fan setup. They offer the Griffen with the trans cooler lines on the drivers side only. I opted for one with a manual trans, and just run the external cooler I already had hooked up. My 4L80e never builds heat anyway. To bad you aren't closer, I have an...
If you use a stock radiator, the 4th gen fans literally slide right in, and are held in by the top closure panel. It was like they were made for it. I did have to cut a small piece of plastic off from the shroud, but I don't remember where, but was super easy. This is the best picture I can find...
I originally ran the stock radiator, and a dual fan setup from a 4th gen camaro. Worked great, and was cheap. I recently decided to switch a lot of things, and am changing to a Griffen LS swap radiator, so the inlet and outlet are both on the passenger side.
Do you have any pictures? I just installed mine tonight. But I have to change my fan setup, the setup I had won't fit with the Griffen radiator.
Also, what are you using for an upper radiator hose?
Well flipping the condenser coil worked perfect. Unfortunately, I'm running into issues with the radiator. I had to cut down the rubber bushings that hold it in, which wasn't a big deal, although I cut one to much so I need to find another one. The new radiator I believe is a 4 core, as the...
