I think that the idea that if a car was built in the 80s 90s or 2000s it isn’t a classic or shouldn’t be at a show is a bit inconsistent.
With the exception of truly rare or desirable vehicles the value of cars goes up and down based on the generation that has reached a point where they have...
On my 78 the vacuum ball connects directly to manifold vacuum which you can pull of the correct carb port if it isn’t being used or directly off the manifold itself.
The brake booster connects to a dedicated vacuum port on the carb.
The vacuum ball connection to the controller goes through...
I have the stock radiator from my Z28. I have an aluminum radiator in my car now and have no plans to go back to the stock.
The original one has a pin hole somewhere and is leaking. Toss it or worth keeping for someone who might want the original and wants to fix it? The cost to fix it is...
You need to know your rear end gear ratio. You can determine it with the car up on jackstands and roaring the rear wheels. Just search on it.
I have 3.73 gears and I bought a 5 speed transmission to make it more useable. Gears 1-4 run about the same as my super T-10 but that 5th gear brings the...
Great info!!! Thanks.
The turn signals are all working. When the hazards go on only the right front indicator light goes on and blinks. Nothing else works. We will check out your link and see if it can be chased down.
The most important thing is the turn signals work.
Turn signals and hazards were not working. Replaced both relays and turn signals work now.
When we turn the hazards on The front yellow lights flash rapidly but nothing in the rear.
The rear tail lights and brake lights work as do the rear turn signals.
What do I need to chase down? A...
I know zero about automatic transmissions. There is a part that looks like it might be a pressure switch but have no idea. It has a small black rubber tube connected to it with no clamps to hold it on.
What is it and do the rubber ends need to be clamped on?
Thank you for responding. Definitely did not apply power directly the sender wire but that doesn’t mean there is not a wiring issue somewhere else which caused it when I turned the key on. The sender connector was connected to the wire and the body of the sender was grounded to the battery...
I have been looking for the wire for the temp gauge. I am pretty sure I have it. Pics below. Green with a slide connector for a TS6 sender.
Having an issue with the gauge. The temp sender is broken off and the wire was not connected. The temp gauge needle was on 100 with the car off.
It looks like the oversized kits I can find are the bushing only without the pins.
Will keep looking. If someone happens to have a quick link I always take the search help! I think I have a neighbor who can weld the hole and re-drill it if the existing one is too elongated.
This is super...
Was looking to see about replacing the pins and bushings on these driver side door hinges but I think they are no good. See the pic below.
Looks like the hole where the bushing and pin go through is too worn to take a replacement bushing.
Anyone have a couple of drivers side hinges?!
I am having a bear of a time finding the right part to properly attach the kickdown linkage to the throttle linkage. Can anyone give me a part number or what to buy?
Edelbrock carb. See pick for the janky zip tie set up right now.
Also, is the cable bracket correct for a 4bbl carb? Also see...
