So I have been making zero progress lately. Tried ordering a Wilwood brake kit for my rear brakes, but found out they are way backordered. So I got mad and cancelled. That was back in Feb. Then I ended up contracting Covid. ughhhh. Hit me like way harder than I thought it would. Everyone I...

    My '73 Pro Street Project

Not sure where your from, for some reason I was thinking Canada? Anyway if your considering ordering something I can recommend DTS in Detroit. They can build drive shafts to order. DTS Parts and Service. 26400 Groesbeck Highway. Warren, MI 48089. Ph, 1-800-521-0628 Before I found DTS I had...

    75 Bumblebee LT4 Gen V swap

Are you planning to delete heat and A/C? Headers or manifolds? Just some things to consider. For my project I'm holding off ordering front subframe bracing and subframe connectors until I get my motor and trans set in place to see how much room I'm going to have. From what I've been told...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

Thought I would update this in case someone else encounters this situation. Spoke to Moser, Wilwood, Strange, and Aerospace. Aside from keeping the oe drum brakes, these kits should all work with this set up. Strange Pro II kit specifically made for H1143 ends and Strange axles. I have...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

Thankyou Fbird. I really appreciate your help. Moser and Strange both have drag brake kits that I think will fit. Just not vented rotors and not made for street use. I'm currently on vacation down in FL. I'm going to dig back into this when I get back.

Sloppy Intermediate Shaft to Column Connection

My 78 was real sloppy when I bought it. Rag joint and DD shaft both. I got rid of the stock intermediate shaft and made one from parts I picked up from Borgeson and Flaming river. Drove it around for awhile like that it was nice and tight. Now I'm rebuilding again and setting up for drag racing...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

Well just received a message from Moser. Wilwood is out of stock on this kit and soonest it will be available is 5-13-21. Doh!!! Soooo, I cancelled the order. And yeah I'm kinda annoyed. Why the heck didn't they say that when I called them yesterday? Back to the drawing board! It looks like...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

So after reviewing the different instructions for various brake kits I ended up ordering the Wilwood kit. 140-11400-R - 140-11400 - Wilwood Dynapro L/P Brake Kit - 12 Bolt w/Bolt In Moser GM Ends (2.81 Offset) Staggered I will simply delete the E-brake shoes and hardware. It's not the...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

Thanks F-bird. I have a kit that is supposed to fit stock axle. But the caliper support is made to mount on the back side of the axle housing flange. And since I installed the "special chevy" ends the tube is now larger and wont fit as you can see in the pics. The stock drum brake system fits...

Rear disc brakes for my modified 10 bolt

Hoping you guys might be able to help me figure this out. My 10 bolt has the strange small "special chevy" 3.150 ends, P/N H1143. My axles are made by Moser. They are custom made to fit and keep my wheel base. They're quite a bit larger diameter than stock. No part number just ME AXLE SHAFT-RP...

    My 1978 Type

OK I think I got it figured out. The new ford brg ends I have from Moser are the "special chevy" bolt in ends. These are the two kits I'm finding that I believe will fit with what I want to do. For reference I want to be able to use 15 inch wheels. This is the higher end kit...

    Quiet my ride!

Some mufflers would probably make a big difference. Don't know which magna flows your running but magna flows use glass packing and they tend to get louder and louder the older they get. I personally wouldn't loose the headers or down size the pipes. But if your looking to make it quiet as...

I put the finish coat on the housing. I decided to just use some leftover paint I have instead of buying the "Steel It" paint. I used Eastwood internal frame coating as my primer. Then did a couple coats of the Eastwood extreme chassis black satin finish. The internal frame coat sticks really...

    Nitrous kit for my LS3

Yeah got to control det. Det is bad for any motor. LS motors are pretty tough though. At LS fest they run a class called stock bottom end. The idea is you can do whatever you want to the top end but you have to run stock crank and pistons. You'd be surprised at how far they push the cast...

Picked up my diff today. DTS did real nice work. I have to weld to brackets to my spring perches to fit the split mono leafs. I'm going to try .030 through my mig. Then finish wire wheeling it and going to paint it with some of that "Steel IT" paint one of the other members here recommended...

We got word this year will be the last official Camaro Superfest. Unless another sponsor picks it up. Seems to be the way things are going. We are truly the last of a dying breed. The last rebels on the road!!!!!!!
