Update on old thread ('04),looking back..... Here it is nine years later, i was looking back at old progress threads and what i thought was a project nearing the end in '04,is still ongoing.lol I never was happy with the first repaint,the stripes were all wrong and i just couldn't get past...

You are correct that classics as a whole have gone down,but that's mostly on the high value end of things ie finished restorations and Barrett Jackson grade cars. on average, low to mid level cars have increased a hell of a lot.

I do enjoy the LT option along with the performance recognition of the Z28.And though I did like that I was different with my 74,I am glad to see so many brothers and sisters in bumpers to compare notes with.

When I first came to this site,my 74 Z28 was just a curiosity to many members.Big bumper Camaros were not really taken seriously as project with any value.Nice to see today,nine years later,74-77 cars getting so much attention. Not only has the value come way up,but many more after market...

And next you'll say growing "mullets". lol

A birthday celebration at NASTY Z29 I have many new presents for my Camaro that I was going to install this weekend, But since today is the official birthday of our illustrious icons, I shall install them today!!!!!!!:D And rub some cake on my body! (Car body) LOL

my wife called me this morning an said the local radio station was saying today is the birthday of the Camaro. They were running a contest that asked what the original name GM was thinking of calling the Camaro. Any input on weather this is the holiest day for our beloved auto?

Just got my new front fender marker lamps for my freshly painted Z, forgot to order new cap nuts for the back side though, so gotta wait another couple days to install.have a few other small parts on the way that i can install in the mean time.:cool: have picks but when i try to upload ,says...

Finaly Some Color!! Paint work turned out great,photos from my cell phone don't do it justice,gonna take more when i get batteries for the camera. Color is more copper orange but looks kind of redish in these cell picks. I will eventually figure out how to put picks in this thread, but for now...

Status update!!!! Well,some times life just ties a string around you an uses you like a "YoYo". lol. But this time at least i came out in the up position!!! Car is painted, clear was shot yesterday and should be assembled tomorrow . Will be going over later today to see it and take some picks...

Great looking 74 , i would not be ashamed to pay that. Yea it's not a z and doesn't have the book value, but it is still a nice camaro. If I wasn't so poor already from my current project, i'd fly out and drive it home with a smile on my face!!!!!!!!
