The aluminum body Ford F-150 has been in production for right at five years. Good idea or not? I remember reading a lot of negative comments about corrosion, repair cost for body damage, high insurance rates, and lack of strength. What is the verdict after five years?

GM #3972110 with "snowflake". The intake looks very good with no visible cracks, damaged threads or bolt holes. The front heater hose nipple area was plugged when purchased several years ago. I planned to assemble a 350 LT1 for a project but sold the car. $450 OBO
Will buy new in a few weeks if I have to but I'm a college student and would love to save a buck or two if I can.
Looking for a 64cc/190-200cc runner or something around there. Similar to Blueprint's H8002K. Will be sitting on a 10.2:1 350 with an XE274. Have a budget of about $600 USD.
Thanks :)
Can someone recommend a reputable company that does quality work on aluminum alloy wheels that need to be repainted and checked to make sure they are still in factory specifications?
