thought Id post about my experience of adding a used Fitech on my 70 camaro.
about a year ago I bought this used FiTech setup from a fellow camaro guy locally.
It came with command center which is if you run this after a stock fuel pump. , which I didn not use.
Has anyone installed a water and methanol injection kit on their car? What was the result?
I am trying to find a way to reduce the "ping" on acceleration without retarding the ignition timing. The car is my 1969 Oldsmobile442 convertible with the original engine and transmission. This car still...
The syncronizer enables the ignition and fuel injection system to distinguish between the exhaust and compression stroke. This is only nescesary for sequential fuel injection and/or coil per plug ignition. Note the half moon shaped shaft at the top of the syncronizer. As this rotates, it...

Note syncronizer installed in lieu of distributor. This device tells the fuel injection and ignition controller whether the engine is on its exhaust or compression stroke allowing control of an individual coil-per-cylinder ignition and for sequential fuel injection. The device works by using a...
496 Chevy Big Block installed with coil-per-cylinder ignition and sequential fuel injection. Note the absence of a distributor. In place of a distributor, a syncronizer is installed that tells the fuel injection and ignition controller whether the engine is on its exhaust or compression...

These are pictures of our 496 Big Block Chevy buildup. The crankshaft is fitted with a toothed wheel for injection and ignition timing. Sensor is mounted using a tall aluminum spacer, as this may not be clear in the photo.
