Looking to swap to some new 15 inch wheels on my '73 model. Read thru most of the wheel stickies but most of the info concerns larger wheel sizes.

Anyone know if 15x8 with 4.5 inch BS with 235/60 rubber will work up front on an early 2nd gen ('73 model)

I'm currently running 15X7 fronts with 4.25 inch BS and 235/60 rubber and that works just fine but the new wheels are only offered in 15x8 with 4.5 BS

    TIA, Ed

If the car sits at original (or close to it) ride height, they should fit with no issues. Plug in the info in the wheel calculator in the sticky thread at the top of this section. It will show you the difference.

I've got the exact set up with the same tires on my '79. I haven't had any at all.

When I first had my 1979 Z-28 .It had a set of Appliance 15 x 7 wheels .It had P235/60/15`s all away around and put P245/60/15`s in back without rubbing.I have 17 x 8`s now.

    Got it, thanks guys

Got the calculator in the sticky above figured out, offset vs backspace was confusing me but I found this table online and put this right

    http://www.wheelspecialists.com/wheel-specs

Looks like 15x8 with 4.5 BS (0 offset) with 235/60 rubber will work with no issues

Gonna order up some new American Racing wheels

I got a good deal on these Vision wheels last year but they have not grown on me enough to keep them. They are 15x7 front with 4.25 inch BS and 15x8 rear with 4.5 inch BS. They were brand new and I still have the boxes they came in.

Anyone in the DFW area interested in them shoot me a PM and we can make a deal

    Thanks again, Ed
