    Hey guys,

Will 17x11 rears fit with 6" BS? Getting a smoking deal on some polished wheels... Have 315 tires...

I may have to pound the seatbelt hump from what I read. But believe that individual was running 5.5" bs...

    Thoughts??

I have 6in back spacing in a 9 in rim with a 275/35/17in and I have a good 3/4 of a inch before the seat belt hump so it should work on the back spacing ,but toward the wheel opening outword you might have to roll your fender lips to get it in but it has been done

Please hear my warning, no they won't fit. If 315's on 11" wheels would fit properly, there is no way we would go through the huge trouble to mini tub. We run 7" of backspace on our 18x11's buyer beware!

There is another here in town with me that runs 17 x 11 with 5.5s on the rear. I'm not sure of the tire size but I do know he didn't mini tub.

A guy out of californina name Jerry Lum runs a 71 z28 with 18x11 with 315s in the rear with stock tub and auto-xs it.From my understanding it doesn't rub.I asked Mary Pozzi about it a while back when she drove the car for a super chevy magazine for a suspension shootout article.

Gerald Lum. Yes he does, and it is a real 71 Z28 he bought new. I will say that he did some fancy BFH work to put those on, and by fancy I mean not so fancy. Let us know how it works for you though

49 pages of 17" and larger wheels and tires in this thread: http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147147
17x11 with 5.75 BS and 315/35s is known to work with some massaging with a BFH. 6" will probably contact the shocks. If I had to guess, I would say 6" might work with a 1/2 inch spacer and rolling the fender lips.

Maybe a 1/4" will do it. Plenty of searchable info here on this. We fight all the time about it! lol
