It goes on the radiator support behind the battery. It is the main junction connection from small positive fusible link battery lead off the battery cable. It attaches another wire that comes across the radiator support from driver side that feeds power to everything on the car. On a 1970 and a 1971. Originals are rarely found in that nice off condition. Usually a lot of corrosion due to being near the battery.
