1970 camaro fuel gauge not working

There is a ground that is located behind the rear bumper inside the body right to the left of the neck of the tank if you are looking up. That is what is broken or off so double check that first.

Edit: I just saw the pictures and see this has already been pointed out.

It was still in good shape, found it where you specified. Now what to check? Other end at cluster?

You could disconnect the electrical connector for circuit #30 (18g tan wire) located under/near the trunk latch where it comes through the trunk floor from the gas tank, disconnect the gauge cluster connector, and check resistance between the connector in trunk and the terminal for circuit #30 (tan 20g wire) on the gauge cluster connector. If this is ok, I would then check to see if the sending unit ground wire where it is soldered to the tank, hasn't came off, this is located on top of the tank close to the sending unit.
