Good progress! Looks like you have some weather headed your way unfortunately...
Yup, had to stop. Was going to lay flat black down but it's too humid , and cold front coming. Will wait until I get a dry day, then heat up garage, and paint dash, wheels, and trim flat black. It needs 60 degrees or higher
Mixed 2 quarts of epoxy, I did 3 coats on rims, they are pitted pretty bad, but they are temporary until I buy 18s.
Also playing around with extra chrome RS bezel. It had damage that someone else fixed, so I decided to blast it, and paint it to see what it looks like.
Got some garbage in paint, but considering the conditions in garage and how windy it was, it turned out decent. I'll hit this with 320 sand paper before I lay down flat black.
wet sanded with 500
painted with flat black. it had a little bit of garbage in it, but not terrible.
something Im playing around with, this grill surround was damaged and kinda fixed by someone prior to me. I hadnt planned on using it, so I blasted it and epoxied, then painted flat black. it doesnt look terrible. it has a few spots on it from the repair, I might sand back down and apply filler to see if I can hide it better.
also painted the inside trim to match dash
then did ralleys. Dont plan on keeping them on the car, but I think they will look good until I purchase some new rims and tires.
looks great !!
Got tires mounted on rims, looks pretty sweet for rallys, going to put 18s on at some point, but I think I'll like these
Are those oem gm 8" rally's in the back? They seem to stick out further than the ones I tried which are 15x8 that are original wheels to a 69 Corvette.
Corvette rallys, 8 inch, tire is 275/60/15, they might sit out 1/4 inch, I have c clip eliminator, and rear disks brakes.
Thanks. When I tried my buddies 15x8 rally's they were shod with 255/60-15 TA's so that must be the difference I see. My car is lowered a bit and the tire was inside the wheel opening with plenty of clearance for street driving without rubbing inside or on the outer lip. Rear disc here too, but no C clip eliminators.
