Hello NastyZ28! It's been quite a few years since I have posted, I built a 71 RS/SS Camaro which I eventually sold. I documented alot of the build on here... https://nastyz28.com/threads/1971-rs-ss.239507/
Anyway, I now have a new project, a 1970 Formula. I always have loved the early 2nd gen F-bodies, and after a brief search found this one a few hours away. This will be another long term project, and as long as you all are ok with seeing a Pontiac on these pages, I will post pics and progress. 2-8-20.jpg

Pontiac is still a second gen! Car looks like a great starting point. I have always liked the early forumulas - the front end and extra styling cues Pontiac added are fantastic and still look great today - IMO.

    Post up your progress!
The Formula has a very distinctive front end.

We see LOTS of Camaros but it's always good to see and learn something about the different F-Bodies.

    Good Luck with your project

I'd argue pontiac did a better job with styling for 74-81 than Chevy did

I also always liked the styling of the Formula front end and hood. In the late 70's I worked at the service station with a guy who had a 74 Firebird Formula, silver but I don’t remember what color the lower stripes were.

I wouldn't argue against you. I had a black 77 Firebird in high school with a Formula hood and 3-piece rear spoiler. Loved that car. I always thought the Ponchos were a little higher on the food chain than Chevy. Kinda like the GMCs when it comes to trucks, but that's just my opinion. I think design-wise, the 70-73 Camaros have a much better looking rear end than the early Birds. That was one of the reasons I was drawn to my 71 when I bought it. Does that make me an ass man? :)
