1970 glovebox locked

Just an idea... I've never done it and I don't know if it's very feasible.
You may be able to remove the screws holding the door to the dash.
Pull it back a bit and use a long screwdriver through the hinge area to remove the screws holding the catch.
Hopefully, you have a glove box light so you can see what you're doing when you pull the hinge area back.
The only other option I can think of is to go through the cardboard glove box interior.
