I purchased my car as an in process project which I will never do again. Among the many missing parts are the shifter shafts, forks and combs. I have the correct side cover but no internal parts. I can buy new forks and have seen shafts on ebay but cannot find the combs. I am also unsure of how the TCS works. Does the TCS require a specific shaft on the 3-4 side? Would probably be good to note the tranny is a Muncie M20

Here's my M20 side cover. The TCS is activated by the shift mechanism in the side cover.
In order for the TCS to work you need the other components under the hood.
Like the switch at the intake, the temp switch at the pass head and the timer on the firewall
and of course the wire on the side cover switch.

This is also what I am trying to find out. Did you ever figure out what the shaft looks like that presses on the ball? Mine works backwards. It is either the wrong shaft or is indexed incorrectly, if thats even possible.

I have a new switch. The problem appears to be with the 3-4 shift shaft detents where it presses on the ball. I appears to be either indexed wrong (if even possible) or the wrong shaft. I wish someone had a picture of what the shaft looks like where it presses on the ball of the switch.

Wow! You have no idea how long I've been trying to find a picture of the shaft where it contacts the switch. Now it's all making sense. Looking through the switch hole, mine looks like a square shaft. It has obviously been apart before and someone installed a shaft for one without TCS. The only good thing is that the square part of the shaft is touching the ball but making it work backwards so I figured out how I can rewire the TCS solenoid and relay to make it work correctly.
