Tommy, I would put value on it around 10-12K. A few years ago I sold a very original L34 automatic car for 18K and it was way nicer than this, plus it was a running and driving car. Anything above 10K and it would cost you more to restore it than it's worth.
Maybe I should buy it... It would be a twin to my L78 car, color combo wise that is.

Fellow thinks he has a gold mine and pretty firm on price...not really interested in being upside down on a car unless I plan on dying with it., Ha!
Might still take a look at it.

Ask seller how much he think the car is worth in nice restored condition and how much it will cost to restore it.

I don't think I've ever seen or heard of a nice restored L34 car selling for more than $35K. I know there are a few out there that are most likely worth more but not many. I've seen many sellers ask crazy prices, like $50k but don't know of any that have actually sold... then again I'm not looking either.

Exactly! Overpriced, for sure, especially with engine issues.

Pardon the old cliche but the car is worth what someone is willing to pay. If you like the car & can make a deal at a price you can live with, go for it. Just because others aren't willing pay the price doesn't necessarily make you like the car any less.
