I started scrubbing with detergent and a soft brush then used a wire wheel on an angle grinder when I got lazy. I wiped it all down with TSP before paint. It seems to stick and spray great , no skill involved!
The stock bottom end 05 lq4 got its rings gapped , cam installed, Johnson lifters and pushrods measured.
The rearend is in place. It’s a quick performance 9” housing with 35 spline axles , strange aluminum center with spool. It’s resting on Calvert split monos with Afco big gun double adjustable shocks.
I got a screaming deal on a fresh ATI , Reid cased power glide. I sold the used 8” converter and got a PTC 9.5” 15-0 and SFI flex plate
