1970 Z-28 bucket seats

I have recently acquired a second set of original black standard bucket seats. The seats that came with my Z-28 have chrome covers over the head rest adjuster. The seats I just acquired have black covers, that came out of a SS big block car. The Z is a O4C build out of Norwood. I'm assuming the chrome should be correct. Any info would be appreciated. Dan

Mine were chrome with the deluxe interior, but I have seen them both ways on both standard and deluxe interiors. Same with the seat adjuster knob. Mine is black, but I have seen chrome also. I think it is a bit of the "luck of the draw" here. Interested in what others have found.

Dan. When the these head restraint base plates were discussed here before, I remember somebody posted that GM started changing some parts from bright to black . The head restraints base plates ,seat track adjuster lever knob and the flasher knob on steering wheel were changed around the same time frame.I think the HRBP stayed bright a little longer in production than the others . On your Norwood 04C car what is yours equipped with?

"Black"
- Headrest adjuster - 'cover and knob'
- Flasher button on column
- Seat track adjuster 'knob'

"Bright"
- The 'knob' on the front seatback tilt-lever

My 01C car has chrome seat stuff (well highly patinaed "chrome") , the flasher knob is black.
