1970 Z28 emblem paint

    Hi guys looking to touch up my 1970 Z28 grill emblem The Z , can anyone tell me what kind of orange that is and where can i buy some thanks.

    It’s red not orange, it’s orange after 40 yrs. It’s darker than 1970 code 75 like my car. I would look at paint chips online since there are plenty to look at.

    I've had a heck of a time keeping that Z inset painted. I finally got some red striping tape and cut/fit it in the grooves. Keeping paint on chrome must take some special stuff.

    I agree with Rick...Maybe a aerosol clear coat over it too.

    I mean a very light touch with that acetone btw--prior to paint of course

    It would depend on you prep work .And most of us probably built models before we started on the "big" toys .And learned a lot that way.
