You guys may already know this but I just discovered today that the rally stripes are different depending if the car was built in Norwood or LA. Was looking at pictures of the original 1100 mile Z28 and noticed the deck lid Camaro by Chevrolet and the spoiler Z28 emblem location looked different in relation to the stripes. Looked at pictures of my original 70 Z28 and realized that the stripes are wider!!
The stripes were considerably wider. I did not pay to much attention to how the front stripes differed.
Here are the dims from my Norwood car trunk stripes: https://nastyz28.com/threads/trunk-stripes.332678/page-3#post-3807370 i haven't done the hood yet.
Chuck, if you look at Charley’s 1100 mi car, he has a shot of the rear of the car. The stripes almost touch the Z/28 emblem on the rear spoiler. Exactly what I found on my 04D Van Nuys car. I took measurements, but I did it soooo long ago that they are on my computer at home. I am in Florida for an extended vacation. I can send the to you when I get home, but it won’t be til March. Sorry. Buddy
Post #23 here has some hand written dimensions for LA stripes that might help.. https://nastyz28.com/threads/70-z-28-stripes.52019/page-3
Buddy, those are not LA stripes from the assembly manual but Norwood and is what I used. The diagram shows the stripes real close to the emblem but once measured, they are not.
