You guys may already know this but I just discovered today that the rally stripes are different depending if the car was built in Norwood or LA. Was looking at pictures of the original 1100 mile Z28 and noticed the deck lid Camaro by Chevrolet and the spoiler Z28 emblem location looked different in relation to the stripes. Looked at pictures of my original 70 Z28 and realized that the stripes are wider!!

Correct. There are a number of old threads here that try to document these differences.

The stripes were considerably wider. I did not pay to much attention to how the front stripes differed.

Front stripes IMO should be the same from both plants and the rears differ.

Chuck, if you look at Charley’s 1100 mi car, he has a shot of the rear of the car. The stripes almost touch the Z/28 emblem on the rear spoiler. Exactly what I found on my 04D Van Nuys car. I took measurements, but I did it soooo long ago that they are on my computer at home. I am in Florida for an extended vacation. I can send the to you when I get home, but it won’t be til March. Sorry.

Buddy, those are not LA stripes from the assembly manual but Norwood and is what I used. The diagram shows the stripes real close to the emblem but once measured, they are not.
