I am looking for a set of heads for my 71. The engine is stamped 12/11/70. does anyone know what head number it should have. I believe it is "487" but the books list 2 numbers

Thanks. I saw that. It lists an alternate head at the bottom (says unverified)

Thats what I was looking at. Thank you for your time. Now any idea who would have a set of these? I found a few but with the wrong dates.

Not to hijack your thread but I know my heads are original to my 71 but is there any way to tell exactly the production date? 947AE19F-88B8-4673-99FF-329ED459D3D3.jpeg 151A452D-A182-4EC0-9022-C6E1C7D5BAE0.jpeg

I tried looking at the date code on a desktop and my phone and I can't make it out. As Andrew said, it's under the casting number and reads left to right. For example, A-1-3 is January 1, 1973.

Looks like H-8-0 that would be August 8th of 70. That would work for my car also. When was you engine assembled?
