Been awhile, but project has been moving along. I sourced a used door and front fender and then worked on getting panel alignment. All sheet metal is on the car and lined up. Just moved on to cutting roof off and rear quarter. Roof, rear quarter, in trunk drop off, tail pan etc will be being replaced. Roof is off and just started messing with the quarter. Used a grinder then borrowed a buddies plasma cutter. Love the plasma cutter! Will stay up to date with the build. Thanks for all the helpful hints! Everyone have a good memorial day. 20190523_205813.jpg 20190523_205802.jpg 20190523_205756.jpg 20190519_145716.jpg 20190519_144750.jpg

I would like to know about the long bars --- probably going to make me feel stupid.

73 RS cars had one year only longer fender braces. These are not reproduced... if you find a 73 RS with shorter fender braces that match the 70-72 then they were either replaced due to an accident or more likely it's not a real RS.

Been awhile. But would like to post some progress. A very good friend helped me this weekend working on panel replacement and fitment. I have read many horror stories on aftermarket fitment. Boy I lived it this weekend. Slow progress but progress none the less.
Outer wheelhouse, trunk drop off in. Quarter fitted and nearly in. Rear tail pan fitted but needs work. Roof started.

Car definitely had rear end damage which was more prevalent once I cut the tail pan off. It's been hit. Which also isnt helping the fitment of the new metal.

6.0 LS I pulled from a denali this last summer. Will be mildly built for a daily driver. Should be hitting the engine shop soon for a check up. 20201017_120459.jpg

    Looking good!

For a few dollars more, you can punch that LQ4 (or is it LQ9?) out to 408ci...
