Pulled the subframe out. I figured I will just use the spring compressor to remove the front springs when I disassemble. Otherwise came out fairly easy. Body mount look good too.
Next will be disassembling the components on the subframe and then all the parts are taking a trip to the blaster. Including my son's go kart frame and cage. More to come.
Car looks to be in pretty good shape... Nice job.
Yep, spring compressor through the shock hole is the easiest way. I've done it attached and not and either way works well. Looking good.
Yeah I haven't seen anything too terrible yet, but I'm sure I will find something!
How much should I expect to pay for a later IROC steering box with the correct fittings and rag joint needed to bolt right into my car?
Reason I ask is because I found one on CL and got the guy at 75 bucks. Is that a decent deal? Supposed to go look at it tonight. with my dial indicator to check it for correct ratio.
You can get a reman gear box from A1 Cardone for a little over 100 bucks + core charge. Not sure what rag joint to use with this.
Ok. Thanks bandit. Looks like 75 bucks for quick ratio gear box and correct fittings and rag joint would be worth the money then. It seems to be in really good shape. guess I will have to see for myself.
