But what about that 1970 1/2 Camero? You have to understand that there is little actual production info on USA built Chevys back then. I guess there was a lot better record keeping in Canada.

This is a Camaro site,if you want info, maybe check out a HVAC site. Those guys seem to be nice and answer questions.

I recently sold a 1973 Z28 column shift auto. For years I was told by random dbag at shows that my car couldn’t be a Z28 because of the column shift. A couple times I explained the “T” code in the vin but after that I mostly just said thanks and asked to see their Z28.

You have to consider only a fraction of people actually know anything about these old Camaros. They read something online and it’s gospel. Just look at the FB page. The stuff people say there is out of this world!

Seriously, true deletes are pretty rare. This requires some type of special order method to circulate through vehicle engineering down to the factory floor. Engineering has to look at it, even if it seems pretty benign and green stamp it. Then it goes to production and a special order is written. It may have involved Fisher Body etc. The one that most comes to mind is special paint options like the Z28 stripe delete. Heater deletes also but I haven't seen an instance of those on second gen cars. This started to intrude on safety (defog) which the factory was getting pretty nervous about since the Ralph Nader book came out.
