I bought my first 1967 camaro at age 19 I am now 55. My second 1967 camaro was purchased in 1996 two years to build and almost cost my marriage LOL. Had to sell it in 2005. I will try and find some pics. Was a Gold/Gold 327 2 speed powerglide car. I built a Z28 tribute car Blue w/ white stripes, cowl hood, 355 w/ an M20, posi rear w/355 gears. Camaro,s have always been my favorite love to have a 69 though! This TR7 that I mention has sentimental value as I am finishing it for my friend's daughter. He passed last year. The M21 is still in the car and I am looking for the right info on it before I sell it.

I guess my question would be if this trans has a vin # stamped on it did they stamp them pre production or while assembling them. If it is done during assembly because of the high vin number 192910 wouldn't it be toward the end of production for the 74 year. I am assuming the 74 production year camaro vin's start at 100000 and end at 199999. Not sure if this is correct. Corvettes use the 3's not sure about the 2's would have to look. Maybe pontiac? I see a lot of conversation about M21's and HEI. I know GM started introducing HEI about this time.

Vin on trans reads 14N192910. You are sure this is an early 74 production? I am just seeking info as I am going to sell this trans.

Anyone know why there are XXXX's on this transmision date code?
Is it possible that this date change was for a special order after Borg-warner started to install their 4 speeds in Jan 74.
Anyone know how to look up this car to find out more info on it by using the transmission vin# 14N192910 date code P4R23B?

XXXX = stamping F up, so redo.

It’s April if your VIN end numbers are correct.

Being a 74 Muncie it would have the large output shaft and be the last update.
    Great Muncie to have
