I asked this question before but did not get an answer, are the upper and lower front control arms year specific for 1974 or will other years interchange , also has anyone had success getting the big ugly bumpers on the 74 in tighter and a little easier on the eyes thanks

Samz I believe 73 74 75 and 76 are the same., check with a parts store on what year control arm bushings and ball joints will fit. I'm not sure you can move the bumpers in much. Maybe someone else may add to the answers here.

There are lots of really good threads on here on how to tuck the bumper. It's a very simple job, really.

As for the control arms, I believe the lowers have different diameter bushings between the '70-'73 and '74-'81. I recall running into this problem when I switched mine out, as I was sent a set that was too small and was told they were for the earlier year 2nd Gens.
