Looks very well represented but always hard to say how many imperfections until you look at it. If the body and paint are as the pics show, I think its very reasonable. Just saw the trim tag with screws attaching it. Not a good sign at all especially as there is corrosion there too. Really ? If the thing is screwed on why not take it off and clean things up ??

FWIW- as I remember- automatics and 4 speed cars with AC got a 3.42 rear- not a 3.73. Looks like a real nice car- get it down under $20k and you got a steal!

Also see if the seller has all the original parts that were removed or replaced.

Maybe I am picky, but on the Silver automatic car in the first post:

    • Lower grille missing chrome molding
    • LT emblem on back tail panel too low
    • front turn signal lights missing chrome trim bullets
    • LT trim pieces on tail panel are some aftermarket moldings (not original)
    • Black seatbelts??? Im not sure thats right
    • 783 LT interior seats and door panels all had cloth inserts, these look to be recovered in vinyl?
    • posi label in trunk was added
    • Chinese repop brake booster,
    • Missing smog and smog exh manifolds
    • valve covers are on the wrong sides, need to be swapped
    • Missing seatbelt interlock relay on fender well (I hate those anyway)
    • Doesnt have deep groove alt pulley (but that may be correct for automatics?)
    • Has edelbrock intake on it
    • On ebay ad the trim tag is so corroded there is a hole in it. WTF??
    • Dash must have had serious rust and looks to be replaced judging by the pic on ebay ad
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Chevr...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I wouldnt pay anything near what hes asking. Look at the one pic of the underside. Looks rusty.

Trim tag also looks to be aftermarket oil gauge.

OK, thanks guys, I’m learning things I did not know about the 74 Z. I can’t seem to find one on the West Coast.

Jonesy, you’re not being too picky.

    Thanks,
    Mike

With paint over a crusty VIN you can only imagine what it looked like. It lived under a tree for some time I would say.

I have to agree with Jonesy about the items he mentioned about this Z28. The black seat belts are probably wrong in the LT trim, but they could be correct. My 74 Z28 came original with the standard vinyl neutral interior and the seat belts are black. Also, the rear seat middle hump area should have a vinyl piece there instead of carpet.
I would not pay what this person is asking for this 74 Z28.
